Yechial Hamairi was the second string goal keeper on the Israeli national team that participated in the 1972 World Cup in Mexico. He started his playing years in Kfar Blum and also played in Macabi and Hapoel Haifa. He wore the number 12 jersey in the World Cup. Mr. Hameiri is the uncle of Elad, who lives nowadays in Tel Aviv. Mr. Hameiri is currently a bus driver.
